Dr. Francesco Pettinari is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, with extensive expertise in knee surgery, shoulder surgery, and sports medicine.

Graduating in Medicine and Surgery in 2018 with top honors, cum laude, and Academic Mention from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, he completed his specialization in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2024 with maximum marks and cum laude at the University of Florence. During his medical training, he completed prestigious international fellowships and advanced surgical programs, including the SIAGASCOT fellowship in the Netherlands, specialized training in knee surgery and sports traumatology at the renowned Centre Orthopédique Santy in Lyon, and sub-specialty training at the Casa di Cura Città di Parma.

His clinical and surgical practice focuses primarily on ligament reconstruction techniques (ACL and PCL reconstruction), arthroscopic meniscal surgery, cartilage repair, knee and shoulder joint replacement, and the management of complex fractures and joint trauma. Author of numerous scientific articles in prestigious international medical journals such as The American Journal of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Techniques, he actively combines clinical practice with continuous scientific research.

Formerly a consultant surgeon at San Giuseppe Hospital in Empoli, since 2024 he serves as an Orthopaedic Consultant at the Careggi University Hospital in Florence, while also performing orthopaedic consultations and specialized surgeries at our medical center.
