Dr. Alessio Tognarelli graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa, with a thesis on robotic prostate surgery (supervised by Prof. Cesare Selli), and specialized in Urology at the same university, focusing on prostate biopsy (supervised by Prof. Riccardo Bartoletti).

During his training, he performed diagnostic ultrasound and endoscopic examinations (urethroscopy, cystoscopy), conducted prostate biopsies, and urodynamic studies. He also developed an interest in the multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment of urological patients, both with oncological conditions (renal, bladder, and prostate cancers) and functional issues (urinary incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder). He learned minimally invasive techniques (endoscopic and robotic) for treating major benign and malignant urological conditions.

Dr. Tognarelli has participated in numerous national congresses and training courses (also as a speaker), authored publications in international urological journals, and is a member of the Italian Society of Urology and the Italian Society of Urodynamics.
