Dr. Antonio Caprio is a specialist in Neurosurgery with a long and consolidated clinical experience, gained in over thirty years of activity at important hospital facilities. Graduated with honors from the University of Florence, he obtained the specialization in Neurosurgery with top marks, immediately undertaking a path of high training and improvement at European level.

Since 1999 he has been Medical Director of Neurosurgery at the ASL Toscana Nordovest of Livorno, where he has also held management and responsibility roles in the field of neurotraumatology, emergency neurosurgery and neuroendoscopy. He has performed over 3,500 operations as first operator on cranial and spinal pathologies, reaching high levels of autonomy and competence in complex fields such as brain oncology, skull base pathologies and spinal surgery.

He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, a speaker at national and international conferences, and has taught in various academic and training courses, including the Course for Volunteer Nurses of the Italian Red Cross.
