Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florence in 1981, he specialized at the same University in 1987 in Urology. He held the position of Medical Manager of the Urology Department at San Jacopo Hospital from 2002 to 2014, before moving to Lucca Asl Nordovest Toscana. Since 2020, still in Lucca, he has been the Acting Director of the Urology Department.
