Dr. Maurizio Pasqualetti graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa, later specializing in Proctology and, at the same university, graduating with honors (Cum Laude) in General Surgery. Throughout his career, he has held key positions in both private and public healthcare facilities, serving as Head of the Surgery Department at the Casa di Cura della Misericordia in Navacchio (private), and working in the USL surgical outpatient clinics and at the Lotti Hospital in Pontedera as Head of Day Surgery and Proctology (public). He has published several scientific papers and possesses extensive surgical experience, having performed 6,000 procedures as lead surgeon (primary operator), both elective and emergency, using both open and laparoscopic techniques, and over 20,000 as assistant surgeon (second operator). He performs proctological procedures (hemorrhoids, fistulas, fissures, etc.) utilizing innovative techniques, such as the Longo procedure, and minimally invasive methods including HPS and THD, alongside general surgery operations such as hernias, laparoceles, and outpatient surgery.
