Dr. Simone D’Imporzano graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa in 2006. Subsequently, in 2011, he obtained his Specialization in General Surgery with the highest honors and honors at the same University.

He has carried out clinical activities in the Department of Surgery at the University Hospital of Pisa in the Esophageal Surgery Unit from 2012 to 2021, serving as an assistant, assistant surgeon, and primary operator for open and minimally invasive functional and oncological surgery of the esophagus and stomach (including robotic techniques), as well as diagnostic and operative endoscopic procedures of the esophagus and stomach (polypectomies, mucosectomies, submucosal dissections, radiofrequency, ablations, stent placements, echo-endoscopy).

Since January 2022, he has been involved in clinical activities in the Department of General Surgery at the Bariatric Surgery Unit as a surgeon and as a diagnostic/operative endoscopist.
