Dr. Andrea Gabriele Calamita is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis, care, and advanced treatment of shoulder pathologies and upper limb injuries.

Graduating in Medicine and Surgery with honors (cum laude) in 2018 from the University of Florence, he registered with the Florence Medical Council in 2019 and completed his specialization in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Careggi University Hospital. To master the most advanced surgical techniques, he completed prestigious international fellowships focused on shoulder and elbow surgery, training at world-renowned centers such as the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Unit at Humanitas Research Hospital in Rozzano, ICR in Nice, and the Alps Surgery Institute in Annecy, France.

His clinical and surgical practice centers on minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, shoulder joint replacement (shoulder arthroplasty), sports traumatology, and shoulder instability, as well as the complex management of upper limb fractures (humerus, clavicle, and scapula). He also diagnoses and treats nerve entrapment syndromes (such as carpal tunnel syndrome) and knee conditions. Author of scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals such as JSES International, he combines surgical practice with ongoing research on technological innovation and the application of Artificial Intelligence in orthopaedics.
