General Surgery
There are numerous general surgery procedures, ranging from the simplest ones (such as skin and subcutaneous lesions, sebaceous cysts, etc.) to more complex ones (such as inguinal hernia repair, umbilical hernia repair, pilonidal cyst excision, sacrococcygeal cyst excision, etc.).
Surgical procedures can be performed depending on the type and indications by both the surgeon and the anesthetist, under local, regional, or general anesthesia. Most procedures are conducted on an outpatient basis, with discharge in the afternoon, while more complex interventions may require hospitalization with overnight stay.
The surgeon evaluates together with the patient the most appropriate solution for the diagnosis and treatment of the pathology to be addressed.
