MiniHospital has signed an agreement with the Biolabor laboratory in Livorno, accredited by the Regional Health Service (RHS) and included in the list of laboratories authorized by the Tuscany Region (President’s Ordinance n. 23 of April 3 and n. 39 of April 19, 2020) for the execution of serological tests for the detection of IgG and IgM antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, and starting from today, it operates as a collection point for these tests.
It is worth noting that the test is optional and, as provided by the aforementioned Ordinance n. 39, reserved for certain categories of workers. The test is free of charge as it is covered by the Regional Health Service, as a public health initiative.
Thanks to the partnership with Biolabor, we offer a blood collection and sample gathering service on which the serological tests for the detection of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies will be carried out by the laboratory itself, with results expected within two working days, thanks to the innovative organizational models adopted by the laboratory. The test is performed by appointment and priority is given to those who book first; at the moment, the Tuscany Region has indicated May 30, 2020, as the final date for the execution of the free serological test.
The test involves a venous blood draw: the stay in the facility is therefore reduced to a few minutes, without waiting times and following a dedicated path exclusively for this test, controlled and sanitized after each administration and entrusted to healthcare personnel equipped with appropriate devices to ensure their own and patients’ safety.
MiniHospital, understanding the needs of productive and service realities, is also available to perform on-site collections at the requesting organizations, in order to minimize travel, inconvenience, and time.
