Dr. Carlo Ferrari, born in San Miniato (PI) on June 17, 1956, is a renowned orthopedic specialist. After earning his high school diploma in Science from the “Leon Battista Alberti” High School in Pontedera in 1975, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa in 1982, with a thesis on the use of scintigraphy for hip prostheses in coxarthrosis. He was licensed to practice medicine in the same year and registered with the Order of Physicians and Surgeons of Pisa.

In 1988, he completed his specialization in Orthopedics at the University of Pisa, with a thesis on interlocking intramedullary nailing in the treatment of femoral fractures. Since then, he has accumulated extensive clinical and surgical experience in various hospitals and local health units, taking on increasingly responsible roles, including his current position as a Level 1 Director at the Orthopedic Unit of the Pontedera Hospital, A.S.L. 5 Pisa.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ferrari has been actively involved in teaching, serving as a lecturer in Orthopedics at the Nursing School of U.S.L. 17, and has published numerous scientific papers in prestigious journals and conference proceedings.

10. Treatment of associated fractures of the proximal femur and femoral shaft.

Dr. Ferrari continues to make significant contributions to the field of orthopedics through his clinical practice, research, and teaching, consistently committing to continuous professional development and education.
